Our Ceylon Teas are divided into seven different varieties.

(1) OP (Orange Pekoe)
Ceylon OP tea features long, wiry leaves that produce a smooth, aromatic cup with a light to medium body. Celebrated for its refined character, this classic grade offers delicate floral notes and a bright, golden liquor that highlights the unique terroir of Sri Lanka's tea gardens.

(2) OP-A (Orange Pekoe A)
Ceylon OP-A is a premium whole-leaf black tea featuring long, bold, and beautifully twisted leaves. It brews into a bright amber liquor with a smooth, medium-bodied character, delicate floral aromas, and a naturally refreshing finish. Appreciated for its elegant appearance and refined taste, OP-A offers a classic expression of Sri Lanka's finest tea craftsmanship.

(3) Pekoe
Ceylon Pekoe tea is crafted from shorter, tightly rolled leaves that create a rich, mellow infusion with a naturally sweet finish. Its balanced flavor and inviting aroma make it an excellent everyday tea, enjoyable both on its own and with a splash of milk.

(4) BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe)
Ceylon BOP tea delivers a bold, full-bodied cup with a bright color and brisk character. The broken leaf grade allows for a stronger infusion, bringing out lively flavors and a refreshing finish that perfectly represents the vibrant nature of authentic Ceylon black tea.

(5) BOPF (Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings)
BOPF is a finely graded Ceylon black tea that brews quickly into a robust, richly flavored cup. Known for its deep amber liquor and strong, invigorating character, it is ideal for those who prefer a fuller-bodied tea that pairs beautifully with milk and sugar.

(6) FBOP (Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe)
Ceylon FBOP is a distinguished grade containing broken leaves enriched with young leaf tips, creating a fragrant and lively infusion. The tea delivers a bright, full-bodied cup with floral notes, gentle sweetness, and a brisk, refreshing finish. Its balance of strength and aroma makes it a favorite among traditional Ceylon tea lovers.

(7) FBOPF Ex Sp (Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings Extra Special)
FBOPF Ex Sp represents one of the finest expressions of Ceylon black tea, crafted from carefully selected tender leaves and an abundance of golden tips. It produces a rich, bright liquor with exceptional aroma, a smooth yet robust body, and layers of floral, honeyed, and malty notes. Elegant and distinctive, this extra-special grade offers a luxurious tea experience that reflects the heritage and excellence of Sri Lankan tea gardens.

Sri Lanka is home to six renowned tea-growing regions, each producing Ceylon teas with distinct flavors shaped by elevation, climate, and terrain.

  • Uva — Famous for its brisk, aromatic teas with floral notes and a refreshing finish. The seasonal mountain winds create a unique character highly prized around the world.

  • Dimbula — Produces bright, medium-bodied teas with a clean, crisp taste and delicate fragrance. Dimbula teas are known for their balance and elegance.

  • Nuwara Eliya — The highest tea-growing area in Sri Lanka, often called the “Champagne of Ceylon Tea.” Its teas are light, fragrant, and exceptionally refined with floral and citrus notes.

  • Kandy — The birthplace of Ceylon tea, producing rich, full-bodied infusions with smooth, mellow flavors and warm, malty characteristics.

  • Ruhuna — A low-grown region known for robust, naturally sweet teas with deep color, strong body, and rich flavor.

  • Sabaragamuwa — Produces smooth, full-bodied teas with subtle earthy notes, natural sweetness, and a lingering finish.

Together, these six regions showcase the remarkable diversity of authentic Ceylon tea, offering everything from delicate high-grown harvests to bold and flavorful low-grown varieties. Each cup reflects the unique landscapes and traditions that have made Sri Lanka one of the world's most celebrated tea-producing nations.
